Cultivated blueberries can be planted in plains, hills, or mountains, provided that the appropriate varieties are selected for the location and that their environmental, soil, climate, and water requirements are met. Some soils have low favorability, such as clay soils, impermeable soils, or sandy soils, which are low in nutrient supply and have a low water retention capacity. For the successful cultivation of blueberries in these soils, agricultural work is required with the addition of acidic peat, sulfur, and sawdust to correct the parameters in the cultivation substrate. However, it is not economically feasible to modify soil parameters to meet the needs of blueberries in every location.
